Intellectual property rights are a key driver of productivity, and support Australian businesses and economy, rewarding innovation by protecting research and product development and fostering the diffusion of ideas.
The 2024 Australian Intellectual Property Report shows that Australians are making the most of these rights, filing an increasing number of patents and trademarks, with Australia being the second fastest growing destination among 19 major economies for patent filings in the field of clean energy generation and storage.
To further support our members in this area, ACCI is holding an exclusive webinar with experts from IP Australia to hear about current trends in technology, commercialisation and trade.
IP Australia will also discuss how patents, trademarks, design rights and plant breeders’ rights can be used as a key part of business strategies and the resources available to businesses, particularly small businesses.
