The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) congratulates the Hon Bill Shorten MP on the announcement of his forthcoming retirement from the federal parliament.

Mr Shorten has made significant contributions in public life as an MP, a cabinet minister, and as a former leader of the Australian Labor Party.

Most recently, he has been instrumental in advancing necessary reforms to the NDIS to place this important program on a more sustainable footing and to ensure that it will continue to deliver valuable outcomes for the Australian community.
