First Chamber Change Small Business program wraps up in Canberra

The first national delivery of the Chamber Change Small Business program has officially wrapped up in Canberra, marking a significant milestone for ACCI’s Future Makers initiative.

The program was the first in a national expansion of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (VCCI) Chamber Change, a pioneering women-in-business program designed to support aspiring female leaders and business owners.

The program brought together a dynamic group of participants committed to driving economic growth and prosperity through entrepreneurship. Delivered in partnership with VCCI and hosted by the Canberra Business Chamber, this inaugural cohort engaged in workshops, coaching sessions, and storytelling forums designed to build confidence, leadership capability, and lasting connections.

Through presentations from industry champions on career journeys, work/life balance, and empowerment, participants were equipped with practical tools and insights to support their business and leadership aspirations.

Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants sharing powerful reflections on their experience:

“Being exposed to women in business in so many diverse industries has shown me that there is more than one way to succeed, and more than one measure of success.”

“The networking and storytelling elements reinforced how common the challenges women face in their career are.”

“The Program has been empowering. It has enabled me to feel more confident in my abilities and decisions. The program has given me strength to maintain and back my leadership style, different opinions and approach.”

All participants are surveyed at the conclusion of the program, and we look forward to sharing more insights on the impact of Chamber Change Small Business in the coming weeks.
